According to CNN Money, Lansing is among 50 of the most business friendly cities in America. Entrepreneur Magazine also named East Lansing one of the 10 Best College Towns to Start a Business. In 2009, almost 50,000 LLCs were established and with incubator space for IT, college student entrepreneurs and more incubator space for other industries in the works, small businesses are beginning to grow and thrive. Yet, we are often criticized for not having an entrepreneurial culture. What more can we do to encourage this culture and what actions are our legislators working on?
