Communications and Problem Solving Training for
Long-Term Care Givers
Program Goals
Through this training, participants will:
- Know how important they are and how they make a difference in the lives of the people they work for and with.
- More deeply understand that what they say and how they say it affects the people around them, particularly the people they work for and with.
- Strengthen their current communication skills and learn new ones to help them be even more effective in interactions with others.
- Recognize differences in personal styles and how those differences can lead to assumptions and judgments about another person's behavior.
- Explain the importance of giving constructive feedback, guidelines for effective feedback and practicing the use of new communication skills.
- Use the skills they've enhanced for more effective and satisfying problem solving.
