The Capital Healthcare and Employment Council is advising membership the following positions are up for election for the 2009 - 2010 membership year.

Terms of Office
The CHEC bylaws provide for three types of board positions: elected; appointed positions serving two years; and appointed-founding members whose organizations will regularly hold board seats.
Nominating Procedure
Candidates may nominate themselves or a third party may nominate them as long as there is an indication from the nominee of willingness to serve.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for nomination, the nominee must be a represent a company that has been a member of the healthcare council for a minimum of one year or is an active member of a committee.
Nominations
The executive director will review all nominations for eligibility. A report from the executive director to the membership will be prepared and posted on the CHEC website and distributed by e-mail. /included on the September Luncheon agenda. The names and qualifications of eligible nominees may be submitted by the CHEC board of directors, CHEC members and Capital Area Michigan Works! staff. The deadline for nominations is September 15th, 2009. Nomination forms can be found under the "Get Involved" tab.
Elections
Elections for the October 1, 2009 - September 30, 2010 board positions will be conducted by ballot at the September 22nd membership luncheon.
The board reserves the right to fill vacant positions.
