We are the “go to” resource for healthcare workforce solutions in greater Lansing Michigan
The Capital Healthcare and Employment Council (CHEC) provides a venue for communication and collaboration among capital area healthcare organizations, educators and partners to capture the most useful, effective and innovative workforce development tools to support high quality healthcare.
The Capital Healthcare and Employment Council initially formed in 2006 as a Regional Skills Alliance (RSA), grant funded by the Department of Labor and Economic Growth to address employer’s workforce development needs. Today, the council is a fully self-supporting entity which has expanded efforts to respond to the healthcare trends, legislative inititiatives, and economic challenges.
CHEC partners with Capital Area Michigan Works! (CAMW!), Lansing Community College, and other healthcare stakeholders to provide comprehenisve business services and training supports in order to promote and grow the workforce of one of the regions fastest growing industries, healthcare.
